Quotation
“Youth is to all the glad season of life; but often only by what it hopes, not by what it attains, or what it escapes.”
Thomas Carlyle
The idea behind the quotation
Youth feels like a joyful season of life, often because of what young people hope for rather than what they achieve or avoid.
