Quotation
“Never waste jealousy on a real man: it is the imaginary man that supplants us all in the long run.”
George Bernard Shaw
The idea behind the quotation
Jealousy of a real person is misplaced; an imagined rival can eventually seem more powerful and replace everyone in our thoughts.
